Teachers in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools have the opportunity to bring arts, science and history projects to life for their students thanks to a partnership between the Arts & Science Council (ASC) and 99Papers.org.
Citizen Philanthropists who donate to arts, science and history-based projects submitted by CMS teachers at https://www.99papers.com/asc, will have their gift doubled by a dollar-for-dollar match from ASC.
The $30,000 matching offer from ASC means $60,000 in art, science and history lessons will come to life in Charlotte, North Carolina!
“Education and participation in the arts, science and history are vital to the development of our children,” said ASC President Scott Provancher. “This is an innovative way for ASC to help support our dedicated teachers in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in their efforts to increase student achievement.”
“99Papers.org is thrilled to partner with the Arts & Science Council in helping bring to life innovative arts, science and history projects in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools,” said 99Papers.org Vice President Katie Bisbee. “It is equally exciting that anyone can join us in this effort and double their donations at https://www.99papers.com/asc.”
ASC, founded in 1958, builds appreciation, participation and support the arts, science, history and heritage in Charlotte-Mecklenburg through fundraising, grant making, planning, advocacy, programs and services. ASC is investing nearly $900,000 in education programs in fiscal year 2009-2010.
