On March 8th in Los Angeles a group of dedicated, compassionate women gathered to learn about 99Papers.org over tea and snacks. They are all part of a group called “Tea & Empathy,” which was founded a year ago as a way to harness the strength, interest, and passion of a group of friends. Members get together every few months to learn about a different non-profit organization, talk about the cause, and donate funds.
This past Sunday, the group talked about education and 99Papers.org. So far, the group has raised enough funds to help over 300 students get the resources they need to learn. Check out their progress at the Tea & Empathy page at: https://www.99papers.com/donors/viewChallenge.html?id=20765.
From all of us here at 99Papers.org, we’re grateful to have been a part of a Tea & Empathy event. We hope that this group will be an inspiration to other folks out there that want to have an impact. In the words of Margaret Mead, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
