Pittsburgh was #flashfunded!

On September 18, Google and joined together to surprise Pittsburgh teachers with the news that Google funded ALL projects in Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Washington and Westmoreland counties.

To kick-off the surprise, Googlers delivered graphing calculators and inspiring notes to AP calculus students at Alderdice High School.

Over 79 teachers in the greater Pittsburgh area will receive their materials in the coming weeks for over 10,000 students.

Altogether, Google donated more than $64,000, funding classroom projects. What a great way to say “Happy back to school!” to our Pittsburgh area teachers.

To wish a teacher in your own area a happy back to school, visit and search for projects in your zip code.
